An apple a day may keep the doctor away, but not the orthodontist. Apples should be avoided, as their hard texture may cause problems with your braces.

Appointments

Appointment scheduling is structured for optimum efficiency and quality care. We schedule appointments Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Longer appointments are booked early in the day to provide uninterrupted care and personal attention. Follow-up treatment visits are usually ten to fifteen minutes duration and six to eight weeks apart. These appointments are available later in the day.

Missed or Changed Appointments

If you cannot keep your appointment, please try to give us advance notice. Pleas remember that frequent breakage or changing of appointments will delay completion of treatment and compromise projected resulst. If it is after hours, please leave your name and number and a brief message on our voice mail and we will return your call in the morning.

Emergencies

We do appreciate that your time is valuable and emergencies do arise. You can help by informing us of the problem before your appointment so that the necessary time can be allotted.

Successive Visits

Periodic visits are an important part of orthodontic treatment. Generally, we will want to see you every 6-8 weeks to check your progress and make adjustments to your braces. During this time, you will need to keep appointments, follow instructions, as well as practice good oral hygiene and proper nutrition. Also continue to visit your dentist regularly. Once your braces are removed, retainers are utilized to hold your teeth in their new positions until your bone, gums and muscles adapt to the new teeth positions.
